I took these today at the Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh. On such a beautiful day the light and the colours are just astonishing. An excellent way to spend a day off!

Spring has sprung! Here are lots of flowers that make me happy to look at - bold and beautiful and happy.

A beautiful summer evening on the Water of Leith walkway in Edinburgh. I love the number of different shades of green from the leaves and the sun peeking through the trees.

This was part of the City Jungle in Edinburgh last summer when lots of people designed big cats and birds which went on display around the Botanic Gardens and then further round the city before being auctioned off to raise money for a wildlife conservation charity.They were all spectaular.

 I took this picture at Christmas time last year and what I love most about it is that you can see the reflection of the Big Wheel in the bauble. It's one of my favourite pictures that I've ever taken.

I took this one morning last week as the sun was rising and think the colours in the sky are beautiful.

This is the happiest of my happy places. It's the beach at Big Sand in Gairloch. Taken last March and I was really lucky to catch a break in the clouds and snatch a moment when the sun finally appeared!

I took this in January this year on the top of Calton Hill (you can Edinburgh Castle in the background) and I love the light on the ivy leaves.

I took this picture today and I love the effect that the sunshine created. Red can be a really hard color to photograph well but I really like the way that this turned out.

A picture I took today while at the Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland. It was beautiful - blue sea and blue sky and glorious sunshine on the water.
